Plating Know-How and Field Support Grow as Hubbard-Hall Invests in Technical Talent

April 30, 2025

As manufacturers seek partners with deeper technical expertise and reliable field support, Hubbard-Hall is expanding its capabilities with the addition of three technical professionals and one laboratory technician to support customers in the Northeast.

Leading the expansion is Ted Antonellis, who joins as Manager of Laboratory and Plating Operations, reporting to Larry Ensley. With more than 25 years of experience in plating chemistry and R&D, Antonellis brings extensive industry knowledge to the role. He most recently served as Applications Manager at Baron Analytical Laboratories and has held senior positions at Drew Marine, MacDermid Alpha, and Enthone. A Certified Electroplater and Six Sigma Black Belt, Antonellis holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemistry. In his new role, he will oversee plating operations and the Waterbury laboratory, managing Caitlin Marvin, Philip Galletta, and new hire Stephanie Canales.

Canales joins the Waterbury lab team as a Laboratory Technician. She brings several years of laboratory experience with companies such as Marsam Metal Finishing and Rich Products. Canales holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Central Connecticut State University.

“With consolidation in the chemical supply industry making it harder for manufacturers to get the technical support they need, these new hires are a critical resource for our customers,” said Larry Ensley, Director of Technical Applications. “Our team’s expertise in plating chemistry, R&D, and lab operations allows our customers to rely on us for guidance, whether it’s optimizing their processes or troubleshooting challenges.”

Joining the technical field team under Jason Potts are Bukola Adeyemi and Travis Hilton, both appointed as Application Specialists to support metal finishing customers in the Northeast. Adeyemi brings a strong background in technical and sales engineering across the semiconductor, plating, and precious metals industries. Her most recent role was as a Plating Process Engineer at Interplex Engineered Products, following previous positions in technical leadership at Metalor Technologies. Adeyemi holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Rhode Island College and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.

Hilton brings hands-on expertise in lab operations, plating process management, and environmental compliance. At Aotco Metal Finishing, he managed the chemistry lab and wastewater treatment systems, trained lab techs and plating personnel, and ensured regulatory compliance. Hilton holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Neuroscience from the University of New Hampshire and a master’s in engineering management from the University of Massachusetts.

“When technical service disappears, problems pile up—wrong chemistries get used, lines slow down, and quality suffers,” said Jason Potts, Product Manager for Northeast Metal Finishing. “Our role is to help customers avoid that. We’re building a team that understands the nuances of plating and can spot issues before they become costly.”
